About Dr. Pokpong Amornvit, DDS, PhD
Dr. Pokpong Amornvit is a Thai dentist and dental educator renowned for his expertise in digital dentistry. He holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and a Master of Science (MS) in Maxillofacial Prosthetics from Mahidol University, Thailand. He also completed a Certificate in Implant Dentistry at UCLA and earned a PhD in Oral Health Science from Prince of Songkla University, with his thesis focused on digital dentistry.
Dr. Amornvit's work in digital dentistry includes digital implants, digital clear aligners, and digital restorative aesthetics. His innovative approach, known as facial-driven design, integrates multidisciplinary treatment strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
Dr. Amornvit developed the "PPFACEDESIGN" methodology, which employs a digital workflow centred on digital facial-driven design and digital smile design. This concept highlights the importance of facial profile, proportions, harmony, and aesthetic oral rehabilitation. Additionally, he created the "PPFACEBOW," a digital facebow used in his treatment protocols.
