The installation of the Meyer CBCT is a comprehensive process, ensuring the equipment is properly set up and calibrated for immediate use.

Included in the installation:

  • Positioning of the CBCT

  • Calibration of the CBCT

  • Connection to pre-chased wiring or placement of wiring in trunking

  • Breaking down and stacking of packaging materials

Note: The installation does not include rubbish removal, chasing wiring in walls, or general electrical work.

Builder and Wiring Requirements

Room Dimensions:

  • 3D: Minimum 1500mm wide by 1600mm deep, with a ceiling clearance of 2500mm - In this configuration, the CBCT will be back to the 1500mm wall.

  • 3DE (with Lat Ceph): Minimum 2500mm wide by 1600mm deep, with a ceiling clearance of 2500mm - In this configuration, the CBCT will be back to the 2500mm wall.

Wiring diagram:

  • Internally chased CAT6 cables are required for the PC to network switch, image, command, and trigger.

  • Whether the PC is located inside or outside the CBCT room, there will need to be:

    • 2x CAT6 cables chased from the PC location to the CBCT location (1x keystone terminated 1x bare ends)

    • 1x CAT6 cable chased from the PC location to the trigger location (bare ends)

    • 1x CAT6 cable chased from the PC location to the network switch or patch panel (keystone terminated)

  • Power Supply: AC 220V 8A, 1 GPO plug for CBCT, and 2 GPO plugs for the PC

Note: If the CAT6 cabling is not internally chased or not possible due to wall material or existing structures, the cabling will be placed in white PVC trunking and run around the wall above the skirting board.

By preparing the space according to these guidelines—covering dimensions, power supply, and CAT6 cabling—you can reduce delays and complications on installation day. Once everything is set up, the Meyer 3DPRO CBCT will be ready to serve the dental practice’s diagnostic needs straightaway. Thank you for helping to deliver a reliable and well-organised space for this important piece of equipment.
