Morning Theory Session:

Join us from 08:30 to 13:30 for an immersive theory session at Southern Sydney Event centre. Dr. Dudhia will provide a thorough exploration of CBCT technology, its applications, and best practices. The morning session will cover:


  • Introduction to CBCT Technology: Gain a fundamental understanding of CBCT, including its development, functionality, and advantages over traditional radiography.

  • Radiation Doses: Learn about the radiation doses associated with CBCT and how to minimise exposure while maintaining diagnostic efficacy.

  • Clinical Uses and Indications for CBCT: Discover the various clinical scenarios where CBCT excels and how to determine when it is the appropriate imaging choice.

  • CBCT Protocol Selection and Image Quality: Understand the protocols for selecting the right CBCT settings and how to optimise image quality for accurate diagnosis.

  • Alternative Imaging Techniques: Explore other imaging modalities and techniques for cases where CBCT may not be the best option.

  • Identifying and Diagnosing Pathology Using CBCT: Develop skills to identify and diagnose dental and maxillofacial pathologies using CBCT images.


Afternoon Hands-on Session:

The hands-on session will take place from 14:00 to 15:00 at Meili Dental Care, where participants will get practical experience with Meyer imaging equipment and software. This interactive session will include:


  • OPG/CBCT Patient Positioning Tips: Learn best practices for positioning patients to ensure optimal image quality.

  • CBCT Scan Protocol/Parameters Selection: Get hands-on experience in selecting the appropriate scan protocols and parameters for various clinical scenarios.

  • Tips for Improving Image Quality: Discover techniques to enhance image quality, reduce artefacts, and manage patient movement during scans.

Dr. Raahib Dudhia

Speaker Bio: Dr. Raahib Dudhia

Dr. Raahib Dudhia is a renowned Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist based in Brisbane, Australia. He completed his dental training in 2002 and specialised in Dento-maxillofacial Radiology in 2008 at The University of Queensland. Dr. Dudhia has extensive experience in private radiology practices across Queensland and New South Wales, where he reports on conventional dental radiographs, as well as CBCT, CT, and MRI scans.


Dr. Dudhia is a sought-after speaker on the lecture circuit, frequently presenting at conferences and educational events throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. He is the discipline lead for the Dento-maxillofacial Radiology (DMFR) training program at The University of Queensland, the only such program in Australia.


In addition to his academic and lecturing roles, Dr. Dudhia operates a specialised dental imaging practice in Brisbane called Dental Diagnostics. He collaborates with numerous radiology practices in Queensland, offering an online Dental Radiology Consultancy. This service provides practitioners with imaging reports, protocol advice, and second opinions on scans conducted in medical imaging practices.
